It's a nice benefit that our Eureka attachments do fit on the DC18's wand, so the tools can be repurposed to the new vacuum. The carpet pick up is not quite as good as I think it could be. I tested it by sprinkling various things on the floor like dirt and crumbled up crackers and chips as well as play doh. It did pick the items up and put them in the bin but I had to make two passes over the crackers to get them up. It seems that the vac doesn't pick up everything directly under the brush roll drive....
