How long does it take you to give up on keeping your new car clean? A year? A month? Half an hour?
Like the first scratch in pristine paint, the first spill is usually a clutch of the gut followed by the realization that it’s inevitable: eating and drinking on the go are going to happen to all but the most fastidious. Those people usually don’t have children or a long commute.
If you have carpeting or sofas or do laundry, you already know the worst culprits: coffee, mustard, ketchup, pets, kids and barf. And while you’ll no doubt be saved from the dreaded red wine spills in your car, you have to add in that Canadian perennial: road salt.
